Account Information: Name, email address, and profile picture (from Google OAuth).

Uploaded Content: PDFs, pasted text, and YouTube URLs you submit for note generation. These are processed and stored temporarily to generate your notes.

Usage Data: Pages visited, features used, note generation history, timestamps, browser type.

Payment Information: Processed by Razorpay. We do not store credit card numbers or bank details on our servers.

2. How We Use Your Data

To generate AI-powered study notes from your materials
To manage your account and credits
To improve our service quality and AI models
To send important account notifications
To prevent abuse and enforce our terms

3. Third-Party Processors

We use the following services to process your data:

Google Gemini — for generating infographic images
OpenAI (GPT) — for generating text notes
OpenAI (GPT-5.2 & GPT Image 2) — for generating notes and visual infographics
Razorpay — for payment processing
Google OAuth — for authentication
MongoDB — for data storage

Each processor has their own privacy policies governing how they handle data.

4. Data Retention

Generated notes are stored indefinitely in your account until you delete them. Uploaded PDFs are processed and not permanently stored after generation. Account data is retained as long as your account is active.

5. Your Rights

Under applicable data protection laws (including India's DPDP Act 2023 and GDPR), you have the right to:

Access your personal data
Request correction of inaccurate data
Request deletion of your account and associated data
Export your notes data
Withdraw consent for processing

6. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections (HTTPS), secure authentication (JWT with bcrypt password hashing), and access controls. However, no system is 100% secure.

7. Children's Privacy

Our service is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.

We may update this policy from time to time. Significant changes will be communicated via email or in-app notification.
